▲ Hyundai E&C to realize the ultimate in residential value by accelerating technological innovation based on its four major strategies for future housing
▲ Marks the 10th anniversary of the launch of the high-end residential brand THE H, having led innovation in residential value

Hyundai E&C is solidifying its leading position in reshaping the housing paradigm through the development of a 'Four Major Solutions' strategy that blends innovation with the fundamental value of a residential property.
This follows Hyundai E&C's announcement of its future growth strategy, H-Road, at the CEO Investor Day 2025, and its declaration to set new standards and fully commence the development of solutions to further strengthen its already overwhelming competitive advantage in the housing business.
The future-oriented residential model proposed by Hyundai E&C is characterized by its consideration of a healthy and sustainable lifestyle, achieved by fusing innovative spatial solutions with home wellness technology. The goal is not only to offer comfort and safety, which is the essence of housing, but also to design a living environment tailored to personalized lifestyles and to complete the resident’s daily routine by serving as an all-encompassing, proactive care space.
To this end, Hyundai E&C is concentrating on the development of four major solutions—the All-Life-Care House, the H-Silent Solution, the Neo-Frame, and Zero Energy—to maximize the flexibility of residential spaces while providing a sense of emotional well-being.
■ All-Life-Care House: Residential Services Focused on Well-Being that Spans the Entire Life Cycle
The All-Life-Care House is a future-oriented residential model that helps manage the lives of its residents through healthcare technology based on genetic analysis. By sensing and comprehensively examining data from genetic analysis results, an individual's health status, lifestyle patterns, and indoor/outdoor environments, it provides customized solutions in the areas of wellness, covering exercise, sleep, and diet; medical response, responding to health emergencies in connection with hospitals; and healthy living, which creates an optimal living environment by controlling temperature, humidity, air, and light.
As part of efforts to establish a hyper-personalized care cycle that encompasses data collection and analysis, real-time health status detection, AI one-on-one coaching, and environmental and system control, Hyundai E&C is actively pursuing technological convergence with leading vendors at home and abroad in related fields such as biotechnology, precision medicine, and health tech.
■ H-Silent Solution: Differentiated Technological Systems for Inter-Floor Noise Reduction
As the number of apartment buildings and residential density increases, inter-floor noise has become a major social issue, leading to strengthened government regulations and support. Since 2015, Hyundai E&C has been proactively conducting research on inter-floor noise reduction technology. In 2022, the company became the first in Korea to secure a Grade 1 floor system for inter-floor noise reduction, featuring a high-density specialized mortar and a high-performance cushioning material. Starting with THE H Daechi Edellui, the company is gradually expanding the on-site application of such technologies.
Hyundai E&C, which is conducting multifaceted research on noise transmission factors and noise reduction technologies in apartment buildings, plans to establish an integrated solution for inter-floor noise reduction that includes not only the floor system but also floor plans, structural design, low-frequency control technology, and noise detection algorithms, in its commitment to creating a stable living environment.
■ Neo-Frame: Structural Technology That Enables Flexible Floor Plans and Space Customization by Eliminating Walls
The next-generation spatial structure, Neo-Frame, is a concept that refers to a Rahmen structure that supports the slab with columns and beams, eliminating the walls within a residential unit. This structure can substantially reduce inter-floor noise as the vibrations transmitted from the floor are dispersed. Moreover, it is gaining attention as a new housing trend because it allows for the free design of floor plans according to one's lifestyle. This past March, Hyundai E&C became the first Korean construction company to obtain technology certification from a professional institution for its Residential Precast Concrete1) Rahmen Structure Beam-Column Connection Technology, proving its structural safety and increasing its applicability in actual apartment buildings.
■ Zero Energy: High-Efficiency, Eco-Friendly, and Energy-Saving Solutions
Buildings are one of the largest energy-consuming sectors worldwide. With the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions from buildings being promoted as a national imperative, starting from the end of June, the designs for private-sector apartments will be required to meet the Zero Energy Building (ZEB) Level 5 standard.
Hyundai E&C, which has been conducting continuous research into energy efficiency in apartment buildings, already opened a new paradigm in zero-energy housing by completing Korea's first high-rise zero-energy apartment in 2019. The Hillstate Lake Songdo Complex 1, which incorporates technologies and methods that maximize airtightness and efficiency—including passive (blocking energy from escaping) and active (self-sufficient production of eco-friendly energy)—and manages the energy flow within the complex with the energy information integrated management system SMART BEMS, was the first high-rise residential complex in Korea to receive Building Energy Efficiency Grade 1++ and Zero Energy Building Level 5 certifications. With the goal of enhancing energy self-sufficiency, Hyundai E&C is accelerating research on Energy Storage Systems (ESS) and optimal renewable energy mix plans for each new residential complex.
Hyundai E&C is dedicated to commercializing its research outcomes by establishing a demonstration facility equipped with advanced equipment at its R&D Center in Mabuk-dong, Yongin. The company is actively conducting research on green and smart buildings at the Green Smart Innovation Center (GSIC), an eco-friendly and energy demonstration research facility capable of integrated operation and management of a building's energy grid. Hyundai E&C is concentrating on strengthening its fundamental competitiveness through the All-Life-Care House, which has created a lab for each solution in an environment identical to a real living space, and the H-Silent Lab, a 4-story inter-floor noise research facility that combines both wall and precast concrete Rahmen structures.
Over more than 60 years of its apartment construction business, Hyundai E&C has accumulated unrivaled construction know-how and technological prowess. Based on this, it has continuously evolved in a customer-centric manner, launching new residential brands that promote an enhanced lifestyle. More specifically, as this year marks the 10th anniversary of the launch of THE H, the company plans to continue to build on its competitive advantage in the housing sector by dedicating itself to the commercialization of the future-oriented residential models that the brand aspires to.
On November 11th, in a message to the employees of the Housing Business Division, Division Head Lee In-ki emphasized the company’s commitment and drive to take another leap forward, stating, “Hyundai E&C is not only concentrating on residential product and technology innovation in line with the changing needs of our customers, but also equipping itself with total residential solutions that encompass both hardware and software.” He urged, “As THE H marks its 10th anniversary and the Apgujeong Hyundai Apartment Complex, a long-standing source of pride in the chronicles of Hyundai E&C's residential construction history, proceeds with its redevelopment this year, I ask you to make thorough preparations and take on bold challenges and soar into the future.”
The Housing Business Division of Hyundai E&C has established a product strategy based on the four major solutions to enhance residential value as a space that embodies the value of life and has pledged to lead both the housing market and lifestyle trends of the future with sophisticated and earnest execution and determination.
Hyundai E&C, which has achieved the top position in urban redevelopment for six consecutive years, and the top cumulative order value based on its top brand ranking and technological capabilities, plans to enhance the residents’ quality of life with advanced technology and set a new standard for premium life platforms through uninterrupted residential complex operation support services. At the same time, based on its unrivaled competitiveness, the company plans to concentrate all its efforts on key strategic projects, including the Apgujeong District 2 site.
