One Day Is Enough!
Conquer Singapore by MRT

First launched in 1987, the MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) has served as Singapore’s main urban rail network connecting the entire city. Today, 6 MRT lines and 143 stations operate across Singapore, threading through the city like a web of fine capillaries. It is no exaggeration to say that with just the MRT, you can cover all of Singapore in a single day. Plus, it is connected to the bus system, and the fare is calculated by total distance, so you can travel affordably.
Hyundai E&C showcased its advanced construction methods and engineering expertise by taking part in the Downtown Line 931 project completed in 2017, as well as the Northeast Line 711, 701, and 706 sections completed in 2002. With such accomplishments, the Singapore MRT has earned a reputation as a world-class exhibition ground for advanced metro construction technology.

A Unique Travel Experience on Kuala Lumpur’s LRT Line 2

Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, is a city of charm, where East meets West, with modern cityscapes, diverse food and shopping, and a unique blend of Islamic and Hindu cultures. If you want to explore both the city center and the suburbs, from the north to the southwest of Kuala Lumpur, LRT Line 2 is your best bet. With easy access to major sights and shopping areas, the line helps you get the most out of your Kuala Lumpur journey.
Hyundai E&C undertook the tunnel construction for Kuala Lumpur’s LRT Line 2 in 1994 and completed the project in five years. The company excavated two parallel tunnels with an internal diameter of 4.88 meters across five sections. The route posed numerous challenges, passing under the Kuala Lumpur River and through dense urban areas with high-rise buildings and complex intersections. By applying the shield-type TBM (Tunnel Boring Machine) method, Hyundai E&C was able to conduct construction safely even in soft clay ground, while minimizing impact on the surrounding urban environment.
High-Speed Route Across Taiwan
From North to South in Just 2 Hours

Taiwan is a gourmet paradise from vibrant night-market fare to Michelin-rated dining, and where vibrant cities melt into lush natural scenery. The 329 km Taiwan High-Speed Rail, linking Taipei and Kaohsiung, has made traversing the island from north to south remarkably quick. Today, the entire nation functions as a “one-day living sphere,” enabling visitors to reach any destination rapidly and conveniently.
Hyundai E&C successfully built thirty-two bridges and 19 tunnels along a demanding 44.24-kilometer stretch of mountainous terrain for this mega-infrastructure project. Drawing on its domestic high-speed-rail experience, the company deployed innovative construction methods, including the New Austrian Tunneling Method and the Full-Precast Longitudinal Method (FPLM), tailored to diverse geological conditions, achieving both efficiency and top-tier quality. In recognition of these accomplishments, the Taiwan High Speed Rail Corporation (THSRC) presented Hyundai E&C with a plaque of appreciation in 2004, underscoring the firm’s world-class engineering expertise.
No More Traffic Jams!
Embark on a Downtown Adventure with Metro Line 3!

Vietnam’s capital, Hanoi, is a charming city where serene, time-old streets blend with French-colonial elegance, lively local markets, and chic cafés. Here, the leisurely passage of time coexists with the brisk pace of its people, offering visitors a rich mix of history, culture, cuisine, and nature. And the city’s urban railway remains the most efficient route to explore these many facets of Hanoi.
Currently, Hyundai E&C is at work on a 4 km segment of Hanoi Metro Line 3, constructing four underground stations that will tie the north-western part of the city to its south. It is the first Hanoi project to use TBM (Tunnel Boring Machine) technology, which has sparked considerable local interest. Once completed, Line 3 will serve as the core route of Hanoi’s urban railway, linking six major districts at speed and providing a livelier, more user-friendly transit option for commuters and travelers alike.
A New Railway Will
Change the Rhythm of Travel in the Philippines

The Philippines, home to more than 7,000 islands and a mix of vibrant cities, is rapidly erasing the line between travel and everyday life as new town developments and transport upgrades gather pace. Major rail line projects connecting the islands to the mainland are rolling out, dramatically improving speed and comfort of mobility.
Leading the charge in Philippine rail development, Hyundai E&C is delivering two signature projects. On the North–South Commuter Railway (NSCR) North section, we are building two stations and a 17-kilometer elevated viaduct linking Malolos to Clark in northern Manila. Farther south, the Metro Manila South Commuter Railway will span 32 kilometers of elevated track with nine ground-level stations, connecting the capital’s urban core to Calamba. Drawing on the full breadth of K-rail experience and expertise, these schemes are opening new corridors that bring the Philippines’ cities and islands together with unprecedented speed and proximity.
Into the Revitalized Heart of Latin America
With Metro Line 3

Panama is well known for its Panama Canal, the world-class logistics hub connecting the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. In Panama City, soaring skyscrapers mingle with palm-lined boulevards, earning it the nickname “the New York of Latin America” for its cutting-edge image and trends, while the old town of the city still brims with the vivid legacy of Spain’s colonial past.
Even on this land, where the grandeur of nature meets urban skylines, where history looks toward tomorrow, and where the two great oceans converge, Hyundai E&C continues to write about its railway history. The company is currently constructing Panama Metro Line 3, which will link the capital, Panama City, with the western district of Arraiján. Spanning 25.7 kilometers, the line will feature eleven stations and a record-setting 5.6-kilometer subsea tunnel beneath the Panama Canal, one of the country’s most ambitious infrastructure undertakings to date. Service will begin in stages from 2027, and the entire line, including the tunnel under the Canal, will be completed by late 2028.
