Hyundai E&C’s residential design recognized worldwide
Hyundai E&C wins Good Design® Award and Korea Color Awards

Hyundai E&C is being recognized globally for design excellence and creativity.
Hyundai E&C has won the Good Design® Award 2021 for Cloud Walk Pavilion of THE H La Class, making Hyundai E&C the only winner among domestic construction companies. Founded in 1950, the Good Design® Award (USA) is one of the world’s prestigious design awards with a long history. The Good Design® Award selects the best designs each year through evaluating categories such as aesthetics, innovation and new technologies.
Cloud Walk Pavilion, jointly designed by Dutch graphic designer Karel Martens and Korean architect Choi Jang-won, is a work of sculpture embodying cloud as well as a rest place for apartment residents. It has also received the Architizer A+ Product Award last year.
In addition, Hyundai E&C has won the RED award at the 2021 Korea Color Awards hosted by the Korea Society of Color Studies. The Korea Color Awards, which marks its 19th anniversary this year, selects excellent design cases related to colors in 11 categories including landscape, architecture and interior design, and products. A total of 16 entries including Gen Z (Generation Z) Style submitted by Hyundai E&C have been awarded. Notably, Gen Z Style, the winner of the RED award (innovation), refers to a noble color and pattern design developed especially for Hyundai E&C’s apartment brand Hillstate. Gen Z Style is well received in that the unique colors and patterns successfully added a diverse and sensuous touch to the apartment design. Gen Z Style was developed in cooperation with color expert and scholar Massimo Caiazzo. On top of this, our design competitiveness was recognized in both domestic and global markets as Hyundai E&C was awarded at renowned design awards at home and abroad such as the 2021 Good Design (GD) hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the iF Design Award and the IFLA (International Federation of Landscape Architects) Landscape Architecture Awards.
